Whether COVID-19 has had an impact on preparations for the 2023 Netball World Cup; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
With the hard lockdown having a drastic effect on the ability for everyone to continue business as normal, we have taken steps to ensure the continuity of the preparations for the Netball World Cup 2023 (NWC2023).
Officials at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) held more than 10 meetings during the lock down up until 3 June 2020 with the various stakeholders to ensure the forward movement of the planning and preparations. The impact the lock down has on the preparations is that meetings are held online to adhere to the social distancing principle.
