  1. Whether, with regard to the positive COVID-19 cases in the province, she can (a) provide a breakdown of the number of people who are quarantined in government quarantine sites and (b) indicate how many people are self-isolating at home; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
  2. whether, with regard to the COVID-19 cases at Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain and Klipfontein where people live with their families at home, provision has been made to take these patients to quarantine sites or self-isolation sites; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?

  1. As at 6 May, there were

(a) 576 in quarantine/isolation sites

(b) 2001 were in isolation at home (total active cases minus cases in home isolation)

  1. Isolation and quarantine sites are designated have been sourced across the province for people who cannot safely isolate or quarantine at home. If someone can safely isolate at home, we encourage them to do so.
