- Whether the medical personnel who are conducting widespread community screening and testing are provided with security; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether the SAPS and other law enforcement members who are assisting in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak have the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE); if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
(1) The information is available from the Provincial Department of Health and the Member should direct the question to the said Department.
- The following expenditure was undertaken by the Department of Community Safety to assist SAPS with the necessary personal protective equipment in efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

The South African Police Services informed me as follows:
(2) All SAPS members within Western Cape SAPS are provided with the necessary personal protective equipment. The SAPS has transversal contracts in place and monitors the stock levels on a continuous basis.
