- Whether there are any funded shelters and service organisations for victims of gender-based violence in (a) the Stellenbosch area and (b) Khayamandi; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether her Department has followed up and acted on past commitments made to Khayamandi residents to fund the Khayamandi Women and Children Development Project; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

Answer Body:
- Whether there are any funded shelters and service organisations for victims of gender-based violence in (a) the Stellenbosch area and (b) Khayamandi; if so, what are the relevant details;
1a) The Victim Empowerment Programme funds a 17-bed shelter in Stellenbosch;
1b) There are no shelters being funded specifically in Khayamandi. There are however other funded shelters in the area, of Stellenbosch, Worcester and Paarl.
- whether her Department has followed up and acted on past commitments made to Khayamandi residents to fund the Khayamandi Women and Children Development Project; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
Khayamandi Development Project has not applied for funding in the 2017 departmental call for proposals.

The organisation needs to apply for funding, but will be monitored for norms and standards.
