With regard to the Western Cape Government App:
- Whether local municipalities are making use of the app to create a centralised online demand database; if so, which municipalities;
- whether his Department is aware of the reasons why municipalities are not currently using the app; if so,
- whether his Department plans to engage these municipalities?
With regard to the Western Cape Government App:
- Whether local municipalities are making use of the app to create a centralised online demand database; if so, which municipalities.
To date all non-metro municipalities are using the App as a tool to allow the local residents to register their need or update their existing applications without physically visiting the municipal offices. There are also current talks with the Metro to ensure that their existing systems be updated to accommodate the App.

Although the municipalities are utilizing the App, the level of usage could improve and to facilitate the improvement in the usage of the App, the department is in the process of finalising an updated version of the App whereafter a training programme will be rolled out. This will be further enhanced with a communication drive across the regions. Training is envisaged to take place within the first quarter of the 2022/23 financial year.

All municipalities will be engaged as part of the training programme.
