Answer Body:

Nyanga (Ezigusheni) is set for a series of upgrades as part of the Violence Prevention Through Urban Upgrading programme.

The City of Cape Town in partnership with the Violence Prevention through Urban Upgrading Non Profit Corporation (VPUU NPC) is driving this initiative.

The Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT) and the Department of Agriculture is also on board.

As part of this programme, the need for suitable water and sanitation services will be addressed.

To support the informal meat trading activities in the areas, the goal is to have built-up a meat trading set of facilities within four years.

In addition, the DEDAT, along with the City of Cape Town, facilitate business support for small businesses in Nyanga.
