Whether his Department directly or indirectly allocates any Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) funds to municipalities; if not, why not; if so, (a) to which municipalities, (b) for what purpose, (c) how is the expenditure of such funds monitored and (d) what are the criteria for the allocation of the funds?
Answer Body:
No. The Department of Transport and Public Works is responsible for the co-ordination and monitoring of the Expanded Public Works Program in the province and does not award any direct or indirect funding to municipalities for this purpose.
