- Whether his department has any plans to upgrade Louis Fourie Street in Mossel Bay, particularly between Hartenbos and Voorbaai; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;
- whether his department has had any discussion with the Mossel Bay Municipality about the status of this road; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
- Yes. Consulting Engineers were appointed in 2011 and the planning phase of the project has been completed. An implementation programme has not yet been finalised, as this depends on available funds and priorities.
- Yes, the status of the road came up in the discussions regarding the project and it was indicated that any request from the Municipality to change the status would be considered.
