- What are the successes of the South African Police Service’s Water Wing operating off Saldanha Bay;
- whether the water wing has conducted operations off the immediate coast-line of Elands Bay; if so,
- whether there have been any successes in preventing or detecting poaching or illegal fishing; if so, what are the relevant details?

The South African Police Services informed that the feedback is inclusive of the 2011/2012, 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 financial years as follows:
(1) Operational success including:
- Issuing of fines
- Arrests effected for various crimes, inclusive of:
- Marine related crimes
- Murder
- Possession of Drugs
- Possession of Firearms
- Rape
- Illegal Immigrants
- Intimidation
- Seizures of various items, inclusive of:
- Vessels and diving equipment
- Marine life (eg: abalone, crayfish, et)
- Firearms and ammunition
- Drugs
- Counterfeit/ Contraband goods,

(3) Yes. Operational successes include arrests and seizures of vessels, diving equipment and marine life (eg: abalone, crayfish, etc).
