- What are the national guidelines for the implementation of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP);
- whether the Beaufort West Municipality has a municipal policy for the EPWP which is in line with the national guidelines; if not, why not; if so; what are the relevant details (please supply a copy);
- whether the municipality currently has or uses an EPWP database of beneficiaries; if so, is it linked to the provincial and national reporting databases;
- how many EPWP projects are currently being rolled out in the Beaufort West municipal area and what are the details of the projects;
- whether the list of beneficiaries who have been employed between 1 January and 30 June 2018 at the Beaufort West Municipality can be made available; if so; what are the relevant details?

- The Expanded Public Works Programme is guided by the following:

EPWP Recruitment guidelines as signed by the Minister of Labour, 05/12/2017
- Beaufort West municipality has a Policy for the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) which was approved by the Beaufort West municipal Council on Tuesday, 30 August 2016 at 10h00. (See council resolution and copy of policy attached.)
- According to the Municipality they have a database for the unemployed from which they select EPWP beneficiaries for projects.
No, the database is not linked to any other databases.
During the period 1 April 2018 – 25 September 2018 Beaufort West Municipality has reported 11 EPWP projects on the EPWP Reporting System and created 186 work opportunities against a target of 419.
- Yes the list of participants can be obtained on request from the National Department of Public Works. Relevant participant details such as name, surname, ID Number and wages paid can be provided.
