[1] Whether her Department received a request from the Ridgeview Primary School, Mossel Bay, for new or additional classrooms; if so, [a] when and [b] what are the norms used to determine the number of classrooms;
[2] whether the school is on the programme for new and/or additional classrooms; if so, [a] how many and [b] when?
Answer Body:
(1) The Infrastructure Directorate did not receive any requests for additional Brick and Mortar classrooms.
(a) Not applicable
(b) The norms used to determine the number of classrooms is 40 learners per classroom in a Primary School. Existing learner to classroom ratio at the school is currently 33 learners per class.
(2) The school is not on the programme for new and/or additional classrooms.
