With regard to her Department’s COVID-19 Cultural Affairs Relief Funding and other COVID-19 relief funds for athletes, artists and museums:
(1) What is the total expenditure breakdown of COVID-19 relief funding that was paid to (a) cultural organisations, (b) museums, (c) artists and (d) athletes during the period for which the funding was available, including a detailed list of beneficiaries, showing the (i) names of NGOs and/or individual artists or athletes and (ii) amounts received by each beneficiary;
(2) what are the (a) details of the COVID-19 relief funding that (i) is still continuing and (ii) has been withdrawn and (b) reasons for each decision?

[2]      what are the [a] details of the COVID-19 relief funding that [i] is still continuing and [ii] has been withdrawn and [b] reasons for each decision?

Response:

[2][a]  There is no further budget allocated towards COVID-19 relief funding and there are no plans  for future relief. WCG is focusing on Recovery and has started by funding Arts programmes in the gig economy to get artists working again. The Relief Plan is aligned to the Provincial Recovery Plan called the GIG Economy Support. R 2 million set aside for support of the GIG Economy which aims to support artists in the various creative sectors.

[i-iii] Covid relief funding was a national initiative at the time of the lock down, no further funds were made available.
