Whether her Department experiences any shortages of furniture or school desks at any school; if so, (a) where, (b) to what extent, (c) by when does the Department plan to rectify this situation and (d) what are the norms and standards for the provision of furniture and school desks to schools?
Answer Body:
1.(a) The Western Cape Education Department has no current reports of furniture shortages. The department has processed all orders for the 2017 school year. Suppliers are due to deliver the furniture by November/ December 2016.
