The meetings would focus on Local Government Finances, Monitoring and Support of Municipalities and Decentralising of provincial government services and cooperation with local government as well as the renewal and utilization of rivers.

Discussions and meetings with the French Development Agency, SYCTOM the Metropolitan Agency for household waste, SEMARDEL who specialize in waste collection, storage and sorting of waste. These discussions were to obtain practical experience regarding the different types of Waste to Energy options available.

Discussions and meetings on invitation of MT Consulting and Engineering GMBH who facilitated visits to incineration plants, bio digestion of waste plants. It further included discussions on minimizing landfill sites and ground water contamination.
