With regard to the 15 firearms stolen from the Mitchells Plain Police Station in November 2023:
(a) What has been the developments in this matter and (b) what is the status of the investigation?
Answer Body:
1. (a) During the initial investigation, one person was arrested and appeared in court on 27 November 2023; the docket was subsequently presented to the Director of Public Prosecutions for decision.
(b) The investigation is continuing and it is not excluded that further arrests may follow. The case has been remanded to 5 April 2024 at Mitchells Plain Magistrates Court.
