In the light of the release of the first quarter’s Crime Statistics Report for the 2024/25 period:
What is the (a) detailed breakdown of each of the 17 community-reported serious crimes for each police station in the province, (b) detailed breakdown of each of the contact crimes per police station in the province, including by (i) age, (ii) race and (iii) gender of the victims, and (c) total number of (i) women and (ii) children who were murdered in the province during this reporting period, including a breakdown by (iii) age, (iv) race and (v) gender?
a) (c) This question was directed to the Provincial Commissioner South African Police Service (SAPS) to assist the department with a response. However, it should be noted that the reply to question 8 is still outstanding. The reply to question 8 will be submitted to parliament as soon as the department receives the response from SAPS.
