In relation to a meeting of the national Portfolio Committee on Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment on 25 October 2022 where the SAPS confirmed that a case of fraud was being investigated regarding those responsible for coordinating the land invasions at the Knoflokskraal site in Grabouw, with CAS number: 1/09/2022 lodged at the Grabouw Police Station:
Whether she can provide an update about the investigation into those responsible for coordinating the land invasions at the Knoflokskraal site in Grabouw?
The reply of the South African Police Service (SAPS):
9. The investigation is ongoing and at a sensitive stage therefore no information can be provided. However, under the direction of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, a multidisciplinary task team is progressing with the investigation to secure an arrest and conviction.
