- Whether any employees from his Department rent homes from his Department in Sanddrift, Cape Town; if so, (a) how many, (b) what is the job level of each person and (c) what salary does each person earn;
- whether any of these employees receive a housing subsidy from the Western Cape Government; if so, what is the amount of the subsidy

- Six (6) are on Level 5.
- Two (2) are on Level 8.
- One (1) on Level 9

- Level 5 between R163 563.00 – R192 666.00 Per Annum.
- Level 8 scale between R299 709.00 – R353 043.00 Per Annum.
- Level 9 scale between R356 289.00 – R419 679.00 Per Annum.
- It is important to note that salary levels 8 and 9 rent at market value. The Rental Policy provides that at least 10% of each complex should be able to accommodate or rented out to any person who earns less than R30 000 per month.
(2). The current rental allowance for permanent employees is R900.00. The onus is on the employee to apply to the Government Employee Housing Scheme for the allowance after he / she has concluded the Rental Agreement with my department.
