Petitions
The Public Education and Outreach Section support the education of citizens; receipt; administration; initial investigation of petitions and communicate with petitioners.
The Petitions Act 3 of 2006 makes provision for the following:
To provide for the right of citizens to petition the Provincial Parliament; to regulate the submission and consideration of petitions; and to provide for incidental matters.
Any person, group of persons, institution or association has the right to submit a petition to the Provincial Parliament.
The right to petition must be exercised in accordance with this Act.
