Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning

The Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning will conduct oversight visits to the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning’s

Biomass Projects, namely, the Karatara Catchment Pilot Project and the Restore Eden Project to observe the progress and implementation of the projects. The Committee will also focus on slope

stabilisation after the Knysna fires and the associated work that has been done in this regard.

Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning

The Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning will conduct oversight visits to Zelpy and Herold Meander Farms that are enrolled in the Agricultural Producer and Support Programme of the Department of Agriculture. The Committee will also visit the Outeniqua Research Farm where it will be informed of the work currently being undertaken as well as the support provided to adjacent farms.
