The right of Members to put questions to Ministers is an important part of ensuring the executive authority’s accountability to the Provincial Parliament. With regard to the financial irregularities at the Vrijzee Preparatory School:

(1)   Whether the Metro North District conducted an audit into the financial situation at the school; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

(2)   whether the contents of the report was shared with the entire School Governing Body (SGB); if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

         (3)   whether there has been any external audits requested by SGB members and parents, if so,

(4)   whether the requested external audits were granted; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details;

(5)   whether a case of fraud and corruption has been reported to the relevant authorities, including the SAPS, following the financial irregularities at the school; if not, why not; if so, (a) what are the relevant details, (b) who opened the case and (c) when;
