The right of Members to put questions to Ministers is an important part of ensuring the executive authority’s accountability to the Provincial Parliament. Questions may be put to Ministers related to their spheres of responsibility. Replies to questions are either given orally in the House or in writing. (2)    whether her Department has programmes and/or projects that support initiatives and clubs offering sports for persons with disabilities in the province, particularly in the rural and disadvantaged areas; if so, how much funding is her Department giving to these initiatives and clubs?

On what basis does she and her Department assert that there is no onus or obligation on her Department to report sexual offences allegedly committed against children at Western Cape schools and (b) how does she, her Department and teachers who have knowledge of sexual offences committed against children, as learners, comply with the provisions of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act?

(3) what is his Department’s role regarding solid waste disposal sites;

(1) Whether the allegations of extortion and corruption detailed in the founding affidavit of the High Court case have been bought to his attention; if so, (a) what steps has he taken in terms of section 106 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000), and (b) what was the outcome of his action;

(2) whether the persons allegedly acting in collusion to defraud the state and extort bribes from housing contractors are still in office; if so, why;

(3) whether he contemplates placing the Bitou Municipality under administration; if not, why not; if so, when;
