Public hearings on the impact of the new immigration regulations

Recent media reports suggest that the implementation of new immigration regulations (as contained in the Immigration Act No. 13 of 2002) is not only having a detrimental effect on key industries contributing to the economy, but also disrupting the lives of people. The Western Cape Provincial Parliament is considering the immigration regulations in order to decide whether to make recommendations to the National Assembly in terms of section 104(5) of the Constitution.

Public meeting on service delivery in Malmesbury

Western Cape NCOP permanent delegates, accompanied by the Western Cape Provincial Parliament (WCPP) leadership invite stakeholders and interested parties to attend a public meeting on service delivery. The purpose of the public meeting will be to assess progress and discuss challenges in connection with infrastructure development in terms of the provision of human settlements, clean water, sanitation and electricity.
