This case was investigated thoroughly by the WCED and the findings revealed that a senior person at the school had transgressed the Standard Operating Procedures for the Conduct and Administration of the National Senior Certificate Examination. This particular individual had already retired from his post at the end of 2019. A meeting was scheduled to take place with the members of the staff on 3 April 2020, but had to be postponed due to the outbreak of COVID 19 and the Lockdown regulations.
The district office will monitor the school closely during the 2020 examinations and ensure that the staff at the school are properly trained and understand the Regulations pertaining to the Conduct of the Examinations.
