Whether progress has been made with the investigating of the fatal shooting in January of a police officer by a law enforcement officer of the City of Cape Town; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation/ HAWKS informed me as follows:
15. A senior investigator has been assigned to the case. He has completed the investigation and the docket has been placed before the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). Once feedback is received from the NPA, appropriate steps will be taken to ensure the matter is resolved. The family of the deceased have been kept up to date with the investigation.
