Whether she or her Department have received any concerns or complaints from members of the public or civil society regarding the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa); if so, what is the nature of these complaints
Answer Body:
Yes, the Department received complaints regarding the offices of SASSA being closed during lockdown. Beneficiaries that applied in February’s application processes have not yet been completed. Also no new beneficiaries can apply due to the closure of SASSA offices.
