  1. whether there are any (a) testing facilities or (b) mobile testing centres available in the above-mentioned wards; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
  1. The community screening & testing is conducted in alignment with confirmed index COVID-19 positive cases. When the location of a confirmed COVID-19 case is identified, a mapping exercise will demarcate the area that needs to be targeted in the door to door fashion. Community Screening and testing is being expanded to other vulnerable communities at high risk of Coronavirus spreading from person to person.

  1. (a) and (b) Community screening is not the only place where screening is possible. Other methods of screeningforCOVID-19include:

Self-assessment risk tool

Community members, who are not sure if they need to be tested can complete the online risk assessment tool, which if answered honestly, can give them an accurate result.

Provincial Contact Centre

Members of the community can also contact the Provincial Contact Centre for COVID-19 related advice on 021 928 4102. The call takers are trained and able to give accurate advice on health seeking.

Any Primary Healthcare facility is able to conduct screening
