With reference to a complaint received on 9 September 2019 that the Grassy Park Clinic did not have running water or functional ablution facilities:
What are the reasons for this service failure and what corrective measures is her Department putting in place to ensure that this does not happen again?
Answer Body:
The Grassy Park Community Day Centre had a new borehole installed at the facility a few months ago. Due to teething issues a water pipe burst in the container where the purifying system was situated. This caused a disruption in the water service and a consequent water shortage for a short period of time. A company was contacted on the same day to attend to the problem and water was restored on the same day.
