In light of the rising COVID-19 infections at schools:
(a) What is the number of (i) teachers and (ii) learners who have been infected in the province and (b) what is the number of teachers who have passed away as a result of COVID-19 as at latest date for which information is available?
Answer Body:
The following information has been provided by the Western Cape Education Department as at 16 July 2020:
(a) (i) 1 920 since 22 March 2020
(ii) 379 since 1 June 2020
