  1. What were the monthly fluctuations and prices of pineapples between the start of March 2020 and the end of July 2020 and (b) how do these monthly fluctuations and prices compare with the same period in 2019?
Answer Body: 

(a) The table below shows the average monthly price, in Rand per ton, of pineapples in all the fresh produce markets of South Africa. The table also provides the average monthly price for 2018 and 2019 as well as how the 2020 prices deviate from this average. For example, the average price for May 2018 and 2019 was R5 545 per ton.  In May 2020 the average price was R19 030 per ton. The latter was R R13 485 more than the average for 2018 and 2019.
