Whether there have been any (a) arrests of persons and/or (b) suspensions or (c) revocations of liquor licences in the province in relation to the brewing of and trading in (i) home-made and (ii) commercial pineapple beer between March 2020 and July 2020; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
The Western Cape Liquor Authority (WCLA) informed me as follows:
The WCLA that no reports in relation to the brewing of home-made and commercial pineapple beer was received by our Compliance and Enforcement division. We further confirm that the Liquor Licensing Tribunal have not dealt with any such matter relating to the brewing of home-made and pineapple beer.
