Whether there are school resource officers (SROs) deployed in any of the schools in Philippi and Philippi East; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
Answer Body:
The Department of Community Safety entered into an agreement with the City of Cape Town to deploy School Resource Officers (SROs) at 16 high risk schools in the Province. The schools were identified by the Provincial Joints Integrated School Safety Committee and by the results of the safety and security resilience scorecard survey conducted at schools in the Province.
