During the fifth Administration, the following new cars were bought and allocated to departments for use by Members of the Executive Council in line with GMT policies and within Cabinet-agreed limitations. The Departments of the Premier and of Transport and Public Works were allocated previously-used vehicles from the GMT pool.

(b) The vehicles are purchased by GMT in line with policies as per Chapter 6, paragraph 1.4.1 of the WC Ministerial Handbook, GMT will be responsible for the replacement of a vehicle when the current vehicle has reached 175 000 km or 4 years, whichever comes first. Once withdrawn from service, vehicles are sold via online auctions.

No new vehicles have been procured in the sixth administration. GMT will procure vehicles for allocation to departments as the currently allocated vehicles reach the end of their useful lives as described in 2(b) above.
