- The number of sanitary fixtures that can be used at Bongolethu Primary School, Oudtshoorn, are:
Boys:
1 (one) trough-type urinal
6 (six) toilets
Wash hand basins
Girls
6 (six) toilets
Wash hand basins
Staff
6 (six) toilets: 2 (two) male, 3 (three) female, 1 (one) disabled accessible (unisex)
1 (one) male urinal

- The school principal has not reported any dysfunctional or inoperative sanitary fixtures. He did however raise concerns over:
- Toilet cisterns are old and still operated (flushed) by chains;
- Regular blockages experienced in the existing sewerage discharge system;
- Regular leaks experienced with the aged & deteriorated water supply network.
Bongolethu Primary School is included in the 2020/21 financial year’s Preventative (Scheduled/Planned) Maintenance Programme at which time the ablutions including sewerage discharge & water supply shall be refurbished.
