(a) In the 2017/18 financial year, what was the Department’s (i) infrastructure budget and (ii) actual expenditure, (b) of that expenditure, what (i) percentage and (ii) rand value went to companies graded 1 to 4 and 5 to 9 by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIBD), (c) of these companies, provide the (i) names of the companies, (ii) BBBEE status, (iii) type of projects and (iv) project value and (d) for each of these projects, provide the (i) job numbers, (ii) skills transfer and (iii) involvement of local enterprises (specifically SMMEs in and around the municipal area of the project site)?
(a). The infrastructure budget for the 2017/18 financial year, as well as the expenditure for the 2017/18 financial year are reflected in the table below:

The list provided contains 540 companies. To provide details of the work opportunities, skills transfer and involvement of local enterprises for all 540 companies will be onerous. It is suggested that the Honourable Member indicate any specific companies for which this additional information is required. Alternatively, the files for all these contracts can be made available for the Member’s inspection within the Department.
