- How many members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Western Cape have been charged for (i) corruption, (ii) defeating the ends of justice and (iii) dereliction of duty from 1 April 2020 to the latest date for which information is available, (b) for each charge, (i) how many have been concluded and/or is currently under investigation, (ii) what is the status of the case and (c) what is the rank of each SAPS member charged?

The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation informed me as follows:
7. (a) (i) Corruption 1 suspect arrested, charged on (i) and (ii).
(ii) Defeating Ends of Justice 1
(iii) Dereliction of duty 0
(b) (i) 1 case under investigation, arrested on 2021-02-09, charged on Corruption and Defeating Ends of Justice.
(ii) Case was postponed until 2021-05-12 for further investigation.
