What is the COVID-19 (a) infection rate and (b) recovery rate among healthcare workers in the Western Cape?
Answer Body:
- As at 4 July 2020, there were 2810 Western Cape Government Health employees who were infected. This amounts to 8.6 % of WCG Health employees.
- The total number of recorded health workers infected as at 4 July 2020 was 3597.
- As at 4 July 2020, 77% of all health workers had recovered, and the percentage continues to increase.
