(a) How many parolees were released in the Western Cape since the announcement of the release of parolees during the lockdown period and (b) how many of them have reoffended to date?
Answer Body:
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development informed me as follows that based on the reply provided to the NCOP on 30 July 2020:
(a) Updated status as at 24 June 2020 is as follows:
