- What are the details of the municipalities that have exceeded R500 000 for COVID-19 expenditure and (b) what is the total breakdown of the COVID-19 expenditure of all the municipalities in the province, including the (i) total expenditure per municipality, (ii) expenditure items and (iii) details of the (aa) small businesses, (bb) black-owned businesses and (cc) women-owned businesses that benefited from such expenditure in all the municipalities?
6(a) For the period 15 March 2020 – 12 February 2021 the City of Cape Town is the only Municipality that has reported COVID-19 expenditure exceeding R500 000 with a total expenditure amounting to R667.99 million.
6(b)(i)(ii) The following table outlines the breakdown of the COVID-19 expenditure of all the municipalities in the province:

6(b)(iii) The data provided by the MSCOA system did not include the information relating to details of the businesses that benefitted from such expenditure. The Department is in the process of collecting this information from municipalities. The Department will provide the information once received.
