Community Safety
With regard to the security company rendering screening services at the legislature precinct:
(a) What are the details of the security company that has been hired to provide this service, (b) what is its BBBEE status, (c) which department procured the services of this company, (d) what is the cost breakdown of the services provided by the company and (e) what are the details of the service level agreement with this company and (f) whether he can provide copies of the relevant documentation?

(d) The service provider is contracted by Community Safety to provide an access and egress security service at Nine (9) WCG facilities within the Cape Town CBD. This necessitated the deployment of Fifty – one (51) security officers, including two (2) supervisors and seven (7) patrollers.
The total cost to DoCS: R836,459.22 pm.

The request to assist the SA Police with screening at the Legislator was done by the WCPP security manager, to supplement developed Covid-19 safety measures.
To enable this, Community Safety redeployed security officers to the WCPP.
(e) Two-year contract with Community Safety, 1 April 2019 until 31 March 2021. The officials are part of the guarding allocations within Zone A which is serviced by Executive Decisions for the DoCS contract. Full details covered in the attached SLA
