(1) Whether the City of Cape Town has contracted any private security companies to conduct safety operations in the city; if so, what are the relevant details, including (a) a detailed list of the companies, (b)(i) the value and (ii) the duration of the contracts and (c)(i) the areas where these companies have been deployed and (ii) the contract specifications;
(2) whether there are plans to deploy private security companies in the crime hotspot areas across the city; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
