Whether she has received any plans from the national Department of Sport, Arts and Culture on its intention to roll out the next stage of any COVID-19 relief funding; if so, (a) what are the details of any such plans and (b) how will it particularly affect those in the arts, culture and sport sector in the Western Cape?
Yes,
The COVID-19 National DSAC RELIEF FUNDING - 3rd Phase is aimed at providing relief to sectors within Sport, Arts and Culture which have suffered amidst the resurgence (2nd wave) of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country and the subsequent implementation of stringent health and safety protocols.
This funding is open to sport and creative industries sector workforce (individuals and organisations) who do not have a regular source of income, whose income/ revenue has been severely interrupted or stopped and solely rely on their sport or creative work as their source of income/ revenue.
