Last year the Minister announced the DCAS relief fund, which helped 715 individuals in the arts, culture and heritage sectors, as well as several sport federations, coaches, technical assistants and athletes:
Whether there is a plan to continue this relief fund once again; if so, (a) what is the proposed budget for this, (b) how many individuals are estimated to benefit from this and (c) what is the time frame from when applications will open to when the outcome of the applications are made known?
The Western Cape Relief Fund programme has concluded. We are encouraging potential beneficiaries to apply for the National Relief funding 3rd Phase for Sport, Arts and Culture (Individuals and Organisations) which has been conceptualised in consultation with the provinces.
