- Whether the SAPS Occult Unit still exists; if so, what kind of investigations does this unit conduct;

The South African Police Service informed me as follows:
3. (1) The investigation of harmful occult related crimes is integrated into the investigation of crime as stipulated by the Policy of the SAPS Detective Service. A number of detectives within Crime Investigation Service received additional training to assist on an ad-hoc basis in the investigation of Occult Related Crimes. This is in addition to their ‘normal’ investigations conducted.
