With reference to the 2015 report of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) submitted to the South African National Aids Council (SANAC) titled “The people living with HIV stigma index: South Africa 2014”:
(1) Whether he, as chairperson of the Provincial Council on Aids, took any actions to establish if there are any women who were sterilised at province health facilities; if not, why not; if so, (a) what are the relevant details, (b) what action was taken and (c) what is the total number of women involved;
(2) whether he or any members his cabinet met or corresponded with any complainants of forced and coerced sterilisation; if so, what are the relevant details of (a) who was met, (b) when the meetings took place and (c) what the outcomes of the meetings or correspondence were, including (i) which matters were referred for internal and/or criminal investigation by him or any other members of the executive council and (ii) what the case and/or reference numbers are?
The Department of Health provided the following information:
(1) None have been reported, however, should the member have any further information, I encourage that she reports it.

(2) To my knowledge, no member of Cabinet met or corresponded with any complainants including myself as Premier.
