 (d) A list of South African and foreign companies that are major players in the sector

Knowledge of key export players is critical to growing Western Cape exports. Wesgro, the Western Cape’s trade and promotion agency is aware of the top exporters in the province but for confidentiality reasons cannot publish this data. It would be advisable to make direct requests to the South African Revenue Services who compiles this information.

  1. (a) What is the breakdown of the Western Cape’s regional export flow?

Figure 1: Western Cape regional export flow - R, million current prices (2020 Q1)
