With reference to the announcement of the allocation of 50 additional vehicles to the province during the second quarter of 2021:

 (1) (a) What is the required current establishment of SAPS vehicles in the province and (b) what is the actual number of vehicles in (i) 2020 and (ii) 2021; 

 (2) whether these vehicles will be used for visible policing; if not, which division or divisions or station or stations will be the beneficiaries thereof; if so, what are the relevant details?

Answer Body: 

                     (1) (a)  2020 = 5 274

                                 2021 = 5 113

                          (b)  (i)   5 365

                                (ii)  5 399

                     (2)  Yes, all vehicles were marked and delivered to the following stations:

                    *It should be noted that a total of 59 vehicles were allocated to stations and units at the launch on 17 June 2021.
