With regard to residents of KTC and Nyanga claiming that 100 families in KTC were to be included in the Forest Village Housing Project in Eerste River and that this has not happened:
(a) What are the details of the housing allocations in the Forest Village Housing Project, (b) why were housing opportunities in the project not allocated to KTC residents, (c) whether there are any plans to include 100 beneficiaries from KTC in this project; if so, (i) when and (ii) how will the beneficiaries be identified; if not, (iii) why not and (iv) what are the relevant details?
As confirmed with the project team there has been no promises made to Nyanga or KTC residents to be allocated housing at Forest Village. Nyanga and KTC is under a development by the City of Cape Town. My department has no projects in KTC other than PHP in Nyanga.
