With reference to the reply to question 1 of 12 February 2021 received from the Minister of Transport and Public Works in point (3) that the CTICC had been decommissioned and that the details of the equipment had been compiled and distributed by the Department Health:

 

  1. What are the names of the organisations that benefitted;

 

  1. (a) who was accommodated at the following facilities: (i) Lagoon Beach Hotel, (ii) Houwhoek Hotel, (iii) Bidvest Properties, (iv) CTICC, (v) Protea Hotel Durbanville and (vi) Reeds Country Lodge in the period April to September 2020 and (b) can copies of the close-out reports for each of these facilities be provided?

  1. (a) Due to patient confidentiality, the Department will not provide patient names but cumulative totals of admissions at the mentioned Quarantine and Isolation facilities and the two Intermediate Care facilities as at 15 March 2021.

(b) The Brackengate facility is still open.

The Quarantine and Isolation facilities reports should be obtained from the Department of Transport and Public Works as they manage these sites, whereas Health only provided medical assistance to patients admitted to these facilities.

The CTICC Hospital of Hope has been decommissioned in line with the attached decommissioning plan and processes which have been reviewed by the Auditor General.
