With regard to the number of plots that have been serviced between 2009 and 2021:
(1) What is the number of serviced plots or sites that have been (a) given to private property developers for mixed housing development and (b) how many low-cost houses have been built on these serviced plots during this period;
(2) what is the total number of serviced plots that have been transferred to private entities for development, including the details of the development that took place on the serviced plots during this period?
(1)(a) 15 sites have been made available to private developers for mixed housing developments.
(b) a total of 1666 BNG subsidy houses has been built.
(2) Only 1 precinct (Belhar CBD) has been transferred to a developer, which in terms of the agreements need to develop a total of 3788 units. They have already developed 629 social housing units, 102 military veteran units and 765 affordable housing apartments. A further 305 affordable housing apartments and 564 units for student accommodation are currently being constructed. The remaining 2052 units are to be built in further phases and consist of a mixture of social housing, affordable housing and market units.
